As a Student Retail Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience in retail management, customer service, and product merchandising. Responsibilities:

Retail Operations:

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of Lee’s Farm Stand on Rt. 20.
  • Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, addressing inquiries and assisting with purchases.
  • Ensure a welcoming and organized retail space, including maintaining cleanliness and visual merchandising standards.

Sales Support:

  • Engage in product sales, including handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
  • Assist customers in selecting products and offer suggestions based on their needs and preferences.
  • Contribute creative ideas for product displays, promotions, and seasonal offerings.

Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate with the team to monitor inventory levels and restocking needs.
  • Assist with receiving and organizing incoming inventory shipments.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation as needed.

Learning and Development:

  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in retail management, customer service, and sales techniques.
  • Benefit from mentorship provided by experienced retail professionals and members of the farm team.
  • Engage in team meetings to discuss operational challenges, successes, and collaborative strategies.

Schedule:

This is a part-time, seasonal position with flexible hours, based on retail operations and seasonal demands. Availability during weekends and peak retail hours is required.
