Entrepreneurship for Teens
Sensational Teens for Entrepreneurial Mentorship of Students (STEMS) is an entrepreneurial flower farm venture founded by former Wayland High School student Catherine (Cassie) McGonagle. The STEMS team, comprised of high school and college student employees and their seasoned advisory team, meets weekly during the growing season to cultivate their crop and discuss branding, marketing, and business management to help them sell their flowers at their flagship farm at Lee’s Farm Stand on Route 20 in Wayland, MA and beyond.

STEMS Wayland is proud to call Lee’s Farm Stand home to our flagship farm. Flowers can be found growing adjacent to the barn and sold in Lee’s Farm Stand—two of the structures which were the subject of a Season Two episode of Farmhouse Fixers on HGTV. The revitalized farm market and barn are the perfect setting for growing and sharing beautiful flowers with the MetroWest community—a function that calls back to the historic farm’s original purpose.
