Empowering the Next Generation to Grow with Purpose

Catherine McGonagle, STEMS Co-Founder & President at the STEMS flower farm

Last week, on Monday, October 20th, we celebrated Youth Confidence Day, a reminder of what STEMS was founded on: the belief that young people have the power to create, lead, and grow something meaningful.

Confidence in Full Bloom

At STEMS, confidence isn’t just about self-assurance, it’s about trusting yourself enough to take action, to get your hands in the soil, to speak up with your ideas, and to bloom into your own potential. Every bouquet, workshop, and mentorship moment is rooted in that mission.

Learning Through Growth

Through flower farming, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, our team of young leaders learns what it means to build something from the ground up, literally and figuratively. From early morning harvests to designing arrangements that brighten someone’s day, each experience helps our STEMS team see their strength, creativity, and leadership in full bloom.

Leading the Way

Whether it’s trying something new, presenting at the market, or mentoring the next wave of students, we see every young person who joins STEMS discover that their voice, vision, and values matter.

On Youth Confidence Day, and every day, we celebrate the confidence that grows from within – nurtured by community, courage, and a shared love for sustainability. Here’s to all the young leaders blooming boldly into their future.
